On arriving in Cape Town it was a quick pit stop at our hotel before heading off for Table Mountain and a ride on the cable car.

The weather at the top was perfect for some great views of Cape Town and the surrounding coastline.

We saw the famous Dassie, which is the closest living relative to the African elephant, despite the enormous difference in size.

And then finally, back down in the cable car again.

We arrived…

but unfortunately did not conquer.

Daphne had a great evening.

After match BBQ was good and some great company.

Daphne was enjoying the view out of the bedroom window this morning.

Blues squad doing some stretching exercises after 3 days of travel.

Haven’t managed a run in Bloemfontein, it was raining when I got up and not sure where the safe routes are. Went to the gym instead and did 30 minutes on the bike. Ready for breakfast now.

Supporters have arrived in Bloemfontein, together with Willis, Ray and Dillon (Lewis).

Rest of team have come off their plane at Johannesburg due to a mechanical fault. Team unlikely to arrive before 4pm – absolutely horrendous trip for them.

Arrived in Johannesburg on time but now sitting on plane waiting for it to be fuelled, and it’s taking forever.

Cardiff Blues were delayed again, this time in Johannesburg. We have Willis, Ray and Dillon (Lewis) on our flight as there was no room on the other flight.

Such a shame Alex is leaving at end of the season.

Great news, we have a boarding gate!

Arrived at Heathrow Terminal 2 to be greeted by the Cardiff Blues squad. They should have flown at 9am on Wednesday night but now flying at 5pm today. Not good for their preparations.
