Rugby Time

It’s game day and only a five point win will be good enough tonight, no disrespect to Treviso. Blues have almost a full team with most of our international players in the starting line.

A bonus point win tonight should place us ahead of the Ospreys by the end of the weekend. They face the Scarlets tomorrow in the West Wales Derby. Scarlets will want to win and make their play off place more secure.

Back to tonight, we are two short in our supporters group, good luck Tony for the big race tomorrow, show Mo who is best!

Six Nations

So, as we come to the last weekend of this year’s championship, what an exciting night of rugby last night.  The Blues beat Munster, convincingly, securing a 4 try bonus point and putting us level with the Ospreys.  The Wales U20’s were the heroes of the night though by securing the Grand Slam – well done Wales U20’s.

So to today.  Wales need a big match to show that they are still on top of their game, I am hopeful we will see a running match with many tries, preferably all for Wales.

Another team that needs to show they can perform is France.  C’mon France do the right thing and stop England winning the Grand Slam!

Cardiff Blues v Glasgow

Fair enough that the Blues had a very poor first half but what about the quality (inconsistency) of referees. For the last 3 matches, 2 against Irish sides, we have had 3 very poor Irish referees.

With the finances involved in the Pro12, especially the need to finish in the top 6, please please please can we have good quality referees. It is not the case at present.

Weekend Rugby

Big game of the weekend takes place at Cardiff Arms Park tomorrow lunchtime, when The Cathedral School, Llandaff U16’s play in the Cardiff School’s cup final. Good luck CSL.

Good luck to the Blues for Sunday, against Glasgow, away. C’mon the Blues!
