Italy 2015

Should be in Rome tonight but due to the air traffic controllers strike in Italy we are spending the night at the Sheridan Hotel, Heathrow. Slightly more relaxing than the last 12 hours spent in Terminal 5.

We have managed to get on a flight tomorrow morning and BA are picking up the Hotel costs.

BA staff have been fantastic all day – thank you. Unfortunately, cannot say the same of Gullivers Sports Travel.

Six Nations Rugby

Only 3 more days in work and then off to Italy for the final match of the championship. Three teams still in the race to become Champions. Wales need to pile on the points against Italy and put pressure on England and Ireland. Having said that France and Scotland could have one big game in them and beat both our closest rivals. C’mon Wales let’s do it again!!

Weekend Sport

It’ match day!

Great win by the U20’s last night kicked off the weekend. Two more wins this weekend, ladies tomorrow on top of the big one this afternoon, and happy days!

Mustn’t forget the Bluebirds who have a difficult trip to Brentford.

Also, good luck to Scotland.

Weekend Sport

The penultimate weekend of six nations rugby and a big game for Wales tomorrow against Ireland. A Welsh win and the trip to Italy next week we be even more exciting.

Tony has organised pre match drinking and after match eating so it will be a good day – c’mon Wales!!

Gardening

Having used my new petrol lawnmower and battery strimmer for the first time yesterday, I cannot believe I have wasted nearly 30 years of my life gardening. 15 mins and both lawns looked good compared to nearly 2 hours with electrical equipment. No more cables, yeh!!! 😃

Weekend Sport

On this day 17 years ago Daphne and I got married. Looking forward to a lovely meal at Miller and Carter in Cardiff Bay.

Last night Cardiff Blues pulled out their ‘get out of jail’ card with a brilliant 68 phase play in extra time resulting in a one point win over Connaght – well done the Blues and fantastic 16th man too.

Today, even though the Bluebirds had the majority of possession they still managed to lose 2-1. Not sure how!!

Looking forward to the Irish game next Saturday 😀

Weekend Sport

1/2 so far this weekend. A good Wales victory in France but the Bluebirds, although seeming to play ok yesterday but lacking confidence, lost 1 nil. A good Wolves break led to the only, and straight forward, goal of the game.

Big game for the Blues at home against Edinburgh today. It’s a lunch time kick off. C’mon the Blues!
