Why do people think that you need to answer an open question with an essay. One line or sometimes even one word, providing it is not yes or no, is sufficient. The problem with an essay answer is that when you have finished your answer the person asking the question has forgotten what they asked and almost definitely has no idea if you have given an appropriate answer to the question that they have forgotten!

Waffle is a strange word but most interviewees seem to have a passion for it.
