WRU and the Welsh Regions seem intent on screwing up Welsh Rugby. Too many egos that they can’t find the time to sit around a table to come to a decision for the benefit and future of the game of rugby in Wales.
Apparently, the regions are not happy with the idea of central contracts because they believe their internationals will be with Wales more than the region, so what do they do, they sell their players to English Clubs. That way both the region and Wales lose out.
Rugby is a simple sport – in my view let’s get the season right first, just like in the Southern Hemisphere. Ie. club season followed by regional season and then internationals. This way the top players will be available for region and internationals.
Come on let’s show the world how good we are and that we are all grown ups, working for the common good of rugby!
